Paradox

Sunshine is never so bright
As her smile,
Nor storm cloud as dark
As her eyes—

She lives the extremes.

As open
As a prairie field,
Yet closed
To the world—

A revolving door that never stops.

Bold and confident
In a crowd,
Diffidently silent
Alone.

She is
The harmony and melody at once.

Once again, you prove that you can write poetry. :P

I made it to Korea safely, and have a exciting week of orientation ahead of me where I will learn the detailed strategies necessary to read english words in front of Koreans. :P

As a nurse you might be interested to know that Korean hospitals are differant from American ones. They let their patients roam around randomly, even outside the hospital and into the nearby streets. We saw several people in a store a few blocks from the hospital pulling IV carts :)

Have a great day!

I'm glad you made it there safely! I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering if you had made it yet.

As for Korean hospital policies... that's so funny! I can't quite imagine seeing hospital patients out in stores with IV poles. I mean, our patients are allowed to go outside and smoke on the street corner just outside the hospital, but that's about the extent of their outdoor privileges.

I hope you're having fun learning all your new strategies :)

My mind does only briefly encircle the immensity of such words. I am sure that they are filled with meaning that I do not fully comprehend! When do you leave for Chad. I'm praying for you and I know that God will use you there! Stay in Christ!
